Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Set up in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level extension is the single TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can buy a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
