A catch-all feature that is activated for a given mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving junk email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be remarkably easy if you have a shared hosting service with us. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have created listed in alphabetical order and on the right side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously reveal to you whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. In case there is active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox easily even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not want this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
