Memcached in Shared Hosting
You can use the Memcached memory caching system with all shared hosting services that we offer. It is available as an upgrade, which you can get with just a couple of clicks of the mouse from your Hepsia website hosting Control Panel. It requires an extension, which is pre-installed on our cloud hosting platform, so you can start using the Memcached caching system once you add it. The upgrade is separated into two parts, which will offer you more freedom depending on the Internet sites that you’d like to use it for. The first one specifies the number of the websites that will use the Memcached caching system, or the so-called ‘instances’, whereas the second one refers to the system memory, in other words – to how much content the system will be able to cache. You can add more memory in increments of 16 megabytes and the more memory you have added, the more data will be cached, which may be a quite good idea for heavy-traffic sites with very large databases and a lot of simultaneous visitors. Thus, you can improve the overall performance of every script-driven Internet site hosted on our cloud servers with ease.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You can get the Memcached memory caching system as an optional upgrade with all our Linux semi-dedicated hosting and since it works with any script-driven web application, you can use it for any Internet site that you host on our servers, irrespective of what app you have used – Joomla™, Mambo or WordPress, a custom-developed application, etc. You can add the upgrade via the corresponding section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel from which you administer your semi-dedicated server account, and you can select two separate things – the number of instances and the amount of memory that they will use. In other words, these things indicate the number of the Internet sites that will use the Memcached caching system and the maximum amount of memory that the system will be able to use to store your content. The two features are ordered independently for more flexibility and one instance does not come with a pre-defined amount of memory. You can take full advantage of Memcached with any kind of site and both you and the visitors will quickly notice the difference in the performance.
Memcached in VPS Hosting
Memcached is included by default with every virtual private server offered by our company provided that you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you will not have to pay any extra money to be able to make the most of the maximum potential of this content caching system. The more powerful Virtual Private Server hosting package you choose, the more system memory Memcached will have for information caching purposes, but you will have no less than several hundred MB all the time, which is much more than what you’d get with a shared package. This will allow you to use Memcached for multiple websites, regardless of how large they are, which in turn means that you can use a low-end package for them without overloading the VPS. The Memcached caching system is excellent for script-driven applications like Joomla™, WordPress, OpenCart or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom-made app. Soon after you enable Memcached, it will begin storing data and you will perceive the optimized overall performance of your websites.
Memcached in Dedicated Web Hosting
Any dedicated server ordered with our Hepsia Control Panel comes with Memcached already installed by default, so you can start using the caching system the moment your dedicated server is configured, without the need to activate or upgrade anything. The amount of system memory that Memcached can use depends on the dedicated server that you’ve chosen, but since our servers are rather powerful and due to the fact that it’s likely that you will host resource-demanding Internet sites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the system can use will be three gigabytes. This will enable you to boost the overall performance of very popular Internet sites effortlessly and you will distinguish the difference soon after the Memcached system starts caching database requests. You can use the Memcached system with any database-driven portal, including those based on popular Content Management Systems such as WordPress and Joomla™.
